Join Our Team
We’d love to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting for a contractor, or two, to join our team in 2025!
Job Title: Psychologist – Contractor, 2+ days per week.
Are you a skilled psychologist looking to work as a contractor while also being in a supportive work environment that values balance, professional growth, and clinician well-being? Yes? Then read on!
Your Mind Matters (YMM) is a well-established private practice in Notting Hill, Victoria, and we’re excited to welcome a new Registered Psychologist (Contractor, 2+ days per week) to our team.
About the Role
As a psychologist with YMM, you’ll be providing evidence-based therapy to individuals, couples, or families, depending on your interest and expertise. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional client care, supported by a team that provides support around the administrative tasks, including triaging clients to align with your preferred caseload, diary management, and taking payments and managing rebates.
Your responsibilities will primarily include:
Conducting therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches
Completing essential case documentation (case notes, Medicare reports, etc.)
Why Join Your Mind Matters? Here’s What Sets Us Apart:
At YMM, we believe that happy clinicians provide better care. We’re committed to creating a work environment that supports both your professional and personal well-being. Here are just a few of the perks that make us stand out:
Caseload: We will help you build your case load. If a new client calls and we think you’re the perfect fit, we’ll book them in. If we get it wrong, we will work with you to find a more suitable clinician. You don’t need to take on cases outside your comfort zone.
Burnout Prevention: We’ve designed a shift model to help prevent burnout. You can consult between 8am-2:30pm, leaving you free for the afternoon, or if you work better in the evenings, we have shifts which run from 2:30-9pm.
Take the holiday! We ask contractors to be available 44 weeks of the year, that’s 8 weeks away per year whereby we will still help to manage your business/clients/diary (this does not include the 2+ weeks of public holidays we have in Victoria, so really, you can have 10 weeks of R&R annually).
Marketing: Although contractors have always been responsible for getting their name out there, we will give this a huge nudge also! We can add you to our website, advise all our referrers about you, and ensure you are included in our social media and marketing plans.
Induction and Support: We’ll show you how to use our practice management program (PowerDiary), and if you wish, you can borrow our policies and templates, so you’re confident in both clinical and administrative tasks from day one.
Zen Zone for Clinicians: We know self-care is key. Our “Zen Zone” is a dedicated relaxation space for you to take a break, meditate, watch TV, or just unwind.
Additional Perks:
Exceptional administrative support so you can focus on your clients, even when you’re away
We’ll cover your WorkCover insurance, so you don’t need to
We’ll also manage your superannuation contributions, so you don’t need to
Group peer supervision schedule fortnightly which you are free to attend and hit your CPD hours
Access to a large assessment and resource library
Reduced-fee supervision for Clinical Endorsement by negotiation
Flexible work options, including the ability to work from home as needed
Templates for notes, assessments, and reports to streamline your workload if you don’t already have these created.
Well stocked kitchen with snacks, tea, and coffee (and there’s a café on site!)
Plenty of parking
Remuneration: to be discussed during the interview, ranging from $125-$161, plus super, depending on experience, expertise, and the time of day that you’re consulting.
